Selection menu commands
Microsoft Expression Design offers five menu items that let you select (or deselect) objects on your page. You can find any of the following commands on the Select menu:
- All Choose this menu item to select every unlocked object in your document. Alternately, you can press CTRL+A. Locked objects, objects on locked layers, and guides are not selected.
- Deselect You can deselect every selected object by choosing this menu command or by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+A.
- Invert If you want to deselect all the selected objects and select all the previously unselected items, choose this command. For example, if you have only the objects on the right side of your page selected when you choose this command, then those objects will become deselected and all the objects on the left side of the page become selected. Of course, locked objects remain unselected.
- Select By If you have an object selected, you can select all similar objects (for example, same stroke or same color) using the Select By command. For more information about using this command, see Selecting by attributes.
- Select Master If you select the clone of any path, you can select the original path (the master path) by choosing this command.
